Prince Harry heading to U.S.

Prince Harry, the 27-year-old son of the Prince of Wales, arrived in California to complete his training as a helicopter gunner. Capt. Harry Wales landed at at a naval air field in El Centro, Calif. to undergo live-fire training, a statement by the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense reads. The younger son on Prince Charles is to spend his time in training at Naval Air Facility El Centro and Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Air Field in Arizona. He is scheduled to stay in the United States for two months.

The first month he will be trained at the Naval Air Facility El Centro in California and later is to relocate to Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field in southern Arizona. His training is known in the military as Exercise Crimson Eagle that is designed to help Apache helicopter pilots enhance their attack skills.

After the training’s completion, Capt. Wales is to be assigned to an Apache squadron and The Minsitry of Defense is to decide on his deployment. Harry Wales is to be trained in a group comprising support staff, command crews and other military personnel.
