Louis Murphy: Ready to Play

Week four in the NFL was predicted to be a great week for the fans although those making predictions were a bit more unsure. One of the biggest games comes as the Oakland Raiders and the Houston Texans hit the field. Andre Johnson has been deemed inactive against the Raiders this week. In the meantime, Louis Murphy will be expected to play regardless of his clavicle injury.

The Houston Texans are reportedly going to play Jacoby Jones in Johnson’s spot. The high ankle sprain that he has been dealing with flared up again last week in the Cowboys game. He has been using  platelet-rich plasma therapy but that’s just not enough. Louis Murphy has produced in the last two weeks but didn’t practice hard on Thursday or Friday.

According to various sources, the Raiders expect the wide receiver is expected to play. He probably won’t be hitting the field at full speed but he is good enough that the Raiders need him even if he isn’t at full throttle. This Raiders receiver has 15 receptions for 238 yards and one touchdown thus far this season. Look for Louis Murphy to play today giving the Raiders a little bit of an upper hand.
