Bobby Hull: The Golden Jet

If you are a sports fan or perhaps a hockey fan then you have heard of the Golden Jet, Bobby Hull. If you have ever had the chance to meet Hull you would find him to be very selflessness and genuine. Bobby Hull was born born January 3, 1939 in Pointe Anne Ontario, Canada and became arguably the greatest all around hockey player to ever lace up the skates. Now just in time for the holiday season Hull has released an incredible book that is a must have for any sports fan young or old titled Bobby Hull: The Golden Jet.

Bobby Hull The Golden Jet

Hull is the best left winger to ever play hockey and his slap shot was likely the hardest anyone will ever see at 118.3 mph. Hull played 23 seasons in the NHL and World Hockey League combined for the Chicago Blackhawks, Winnipeg Jets and Hartford Whalers. Bobby Hull was the first NHL player to ever score more than 50 goals in a season and his 51st goal scored earned him a seven minute standing ovation from the Chicago faithful back in 1966. What Bobby Hull: The Golden Jet has done for the game is simply incredible as even today he gives his time generously to the fans and non-fans alike.

All athletes and people in general should take a page from Bobby Hull: The Golden Jet for his selflessness and genuine personalty. Hull has and continues to touch so many peoples lives for the better including the young NHL fans that were lucky enough to see him play. Every time after the Blackhawks game when Hull would come out of the locker room crowds of over 100 fans (mostly kids) would be waiting for his autograph and he did not leave until he signed them all. It was recently announced that Bobby Hull: The Golden Jet is going to make a child’s wish come true on December.14 as he will join 11-year-old Charles Finch of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in select scenes of the Goodman Theatre’s production of A Christmas Carol.
