Rory Sabbatini is a South African who is known for his hot head and this lead maybe to believe that he was going to have a total meltdown today. This isn’t what happened though. He actually drained an 18 foot birdie putt at the par 4 16th which gave him some room for error. Rory Sabbantini found that he needed that wiggle room badly a short time later.
There was a 28 minute weather delay that had to be “weathered” but he kept his head in the game. He took the title with a 2 foot par putt on number 18 for a 72 hole total of 9 under 271. This Fort Worth, Texas resident earned his sixth PGA tour victory. This was Rory Sabbatini ‘s first since 2009 Bryson Nelson Championship.
