Shuttle Launch: Set To Launch Friday

Shuttle Endeavor will will take its final flight on Friday, April 29. The current launch time that is set is 3:47 EST on at Kennedy Space Center from launch pad 39A. This is going to be the 25th and final excursion for Endeavor and the second-to-last shuttle launch ever. This is called Mission STS-134.

shuttle launchThe last shuttle launch ever will be STS-135 and will feature shuttle Atlantis. According to space.com it is believed that 700,000 spectators will come to watch the shuttle launch. Among those spectators is going to be President Obama and his family. Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords will also be there to watch the commander of the mission (her husband) take off into space.

If you can not get to Florida to see the launch you can always watch the shuttle launch online. NASA TV will stream the launch live. You can watch it on NASA.gov or some other sites are will offer a site stream as well. You may be able to see it on television as well but this is not guaranteed.
