Vince Neil arrested on suspicion of DUI

Vince Neil, former front man for the 80′s band Motley Crue was arrested in Las Vegas around 11:00 p.m. June 27 on suspicion of DUI. Neil was held at the Clark County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for today. Neil has a prior DUI from the 80′s when a crash took the life of Neil’s passenger, the drummer Nicholas “Razzle” Dingley from Hanoi Rocks. In that instance, Neil got away with a 30 day jail sentence and five years probation.

One blog report stated that Neil remained in jail pending the hearing because he did not have the $2000 bail money. Another report states that Neil’s wife was heading to Vegas this morning to bail him out. Prior to the arrest, Neil was seen at his own restaurant, Vince Neil’s Tres Rios Cantina. The law and Neil are not strangers.

Aside from the 80′s arrest that got Vince Neil some minor jail time and probation, he was arrested in 2002 for assaulting a music producer. He later pleaded no contest to those charges. In 2003, just one year later, Neil attacked a prostitute at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch in Vegas, and he pleaded no contest to those charges, too. And in 2004, at a show Neil was playing in Texas, a misdemeanor assault warrant was issued for him after he reportedly punched a sound engineer; sounds like Neil needs a “time out” in the corner.
