End Of The World May 21st

Okay so apparently the end of the world May 21st. What are your thoughts on this? If you are in certain areas of the US you may have seen the billboards or the vans driving around warning you to repent. This sounds crazy right?

end of the world may 21stSo if the end of the world May 21st is true I guess we are going to know it in a couple of days. Harold Camping has been spreading it all over that the world is going to end on May 21st. Why? Mr. Camping says that through a series of mathematical equations and dates he has figured out when the Lord is coming.

I suppose this “Christian” Mr. Camping forgot about the Bible verse that says that no man will know when he is coming. I wouldn’t recommend getting your feathers too ruffled. After the end of the world May 21st does not happen someone is going to have a lot of egg on their face. I don’t think we will have to worry about hearing the name Harold Camping much longer.

  1. I am very sad for those who have been following this lie that the rapture will occur on May 21st. Even if they attempt to explain away “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven nor the Son, but only the Father” (Mark 13:32), they cannot explain away that most every Christian, theologian, scholar, and prophet from the first Century until the Nineteenth Century all believed that the church would go through the Great Tribulation and not escape through some secret rapture that would leave the world paralyzed. I pray that they will take a moment and read my book, “Final Warning” because the hour of is His judgment has come.

  2. i really hope it doesnt, but who knows we will never know until the time comes. but i guess we will see, they said the world was gonna end a few years ago in 2004 and we r still here.

Well, this is really getting out of hand. I do believe in God. Very much so – but that is MY personal belief, that I do not choose to cram down anyone’s throat. To me, the worst believers are the ones who scare. “If you don’t believe, you’ll be sorry! If you don’t prepare you will be left behind!” As a believer, there are a couple things that come to my mind, which I do choose to share. “Judge lest not thee be judged”. The judging is for God and God alone to do. Those who do not believe, should not judge those who do AND vice versa! God gave us ALL the freedom of choice, and too many wars have begun, too many lives lost over the argument. We are supposed to live with each other in peace. So if the end of the world is near, I’m sure it’s because He is fed up with all the bickering and arguing and war and hatred and fighting that is failed humanity. I am not a Saint. Not by any means. But I have friends who both believe and do not. And I respect them all equally. One of my best friends is a non believer. But he lives his life good. Respects others and does so much for others and his community. He is a better man in my opinion than many who do believe, but make others who don’t feel like they are bad poeple. Live together, beside each other – respecting each other. (sigh).

As for Mr. Camping, is he really so bold as to think he has figured things out? The scripture says no one can predict the end of times. No one knows but God when judgement day will be. I agree that he is scaring those who are unsure and don’t know what to make of things. He is claiming then to be able to know what only God knows, and furthermore, aside from gaining publicitiy is telling those who do not believe or agree with him that they will be sorry – Judge not, lest thee be judged Harold Camping.

Bottom line to me, live as if each day is your last. Not for partying and looting and harming others for the sake of your sole benefit. But enjoy your life, you family and friends – believers and non believer alike. To have a faith in God is a very personal choice which he EACH have a right to. I will not judge you, I will live beside you, eat with you and drink with you – have good times and share some laughter – whether you believe or not. Because these special shared moments and memories made are wonderful, and no one can take them away.

Please do not panic over Camping’s comments. Live your life the best YOU feel and can. If the world does end, and you lived respecting and appreciating others – how could you be at fault? Live and let live my friends.
