UFC 130 Fight Card

WagerRun.com - The UFC 130 fight card right now looks much different than it was originally supposed to, after some fights got canceled and moved around. The main event then became the Quinton Jackson vs. Matt Hamill light heavyweight fight, with the winner potentially in line next for a shot at the champion. Whoever gets the nod there, there are a number of exciting other matches on the card even if they aren’t all marquee.

Former heavyweight champion Frank Mir will return to the Octagon when he faces crowd favorite Big Country Roy Nelson. The loser here is really going to drop into the middle of the pack in the crowded heavyweight scene, but the winner will be within a few wins of another title shot, so it’s a meaningful fight.

Another heavyweight scrap on the UFC 130 fight card is Stefan Struve vs. Travis Browne. Struve, known as the Skyscraper as he usually towers of his opponents in the ring, is still so young but has a lot of good experience, and has been improving a great deal over recent years.

Also on the UFC 130 fight card will be Brian Stann taking on Jorge Santiago in a potentially exciting clash of styles. Stann has been on the rise lately, but Santiago is no joke, especially with his grappling skills, so it’s a fight that could provide fireworks and go in either direction.

Plus, you’ll also see the return of Thiago Alves when he takes on Rick Story. On the Spike TV undercard, Miguel Torres meets Demetrious Johnson, and Kendall Grove takes on Tim Boetsch. So the fun starts early with the UFC 130 fight card, and there will be plenty to see and enjoy no matter who you’re rooting for and what you’d like to watch.

The UFC 130 fight card will have a tough time to live up to the UFC 129 fights but I’m still looking forward to some of the fights tonight.
