Boston Pops 4th of July 2010

Nothing says Independence Day Celebration like fireworks. If you are near Boston, you can catch the 37th annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular. The party features concerts, activities and of course, nothing like the fireworks at Boston Pops 4th of July 2010. This is a fireworks show that started in 1973.

The Boston Pops 4th of July 2010 was started when Conductor Arthur Fiedler wanted to play Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” and then throw in a bit of extra. What came from a simple idea, turned into a full blown party.  The next year cannons, fireworks and church bells were added. By the time everyone had put in their ideas, the fireworks shows over the Charles River was born.

And, here we are now, and The Boston Pops 4th of July 2010 is one of the most spectacular celebration nationwide. The expected crowd level is astronomical. The TV crowd runs to the tune of about seven million.  That was one firecracker of an idea Fiedler had.
