PlayStation Network Status: Sony Hacked Again June 3 Update

Fans are pretty upset and questioning the PlayStation network status. Sony had just announced that things were beginning to run smoothly and business should be back to normal when Sony was hacked again according to a hacker group called Lulzsec.

Playstation Online “Among other things, we also compromised all admin details of Sony Pictures (including passwords) along with 75,000 ‘music codes’ and 3.5 million ‘music coupons,’” Lulzsec wrote in a note posted to Pastebin.com.

This hacker group is the same group that hacked into PBS and posted a fake news story about Tupac still being alive.

The day that the information about the new hacking came out is the same day that Sony had brought the PlayStation store back online and also appeared on Capitol Hill just to say that they had no “clear evidence” about the hackers that accessed the credit card information on its PlayStation network.

This is very embarrassing for Sony and may really cause people to question whether they want their information protected by this company or not. Hacker group Lulzsec claimed it was very easy to hack in and get all of the information that he acquired through this recent hack.

Although I wanted to play the rubber ducky game with my son, I am not disappointed that it was hacked again. This is a good indicator to Sony that they need to step up their security ( as well as other companies).

man sony need to step there game up

If these idiot punks think that they are “proving a point” by taking down a service that PRODUCTIVE people use to entertatin themselves and their kids…
If they think that they are cool for making movie night with my wife FAIL because my PS3 won’t talk to netfilx…
If they think that they are ANYTHING less that CRIMINALS and TERRORISTS then they are sadly mistaken!
Maybe the bully that beat the crap out of them when they were backward geeks in school should have punched a little harder. This hacking attack doesn’t fix any problem, just makes them look like tools!

Where are the government agencies on this? This is a terrorist attack, and should be dealt with as such. This Lulzsec group wants to take on responsibility… great! Now the government in the various countries have a target. They need to get busy, locate, and deal with these punks like terrorists.

    @Steve.

Sony asked for it bro. I have a Sony and am just as inconvenienced as you. But every time this happens, I get a great big smile on my face.
The PS3 system I spent 600 dollars on is not the same piece of crap that sits under my T.V. today.
They have over modified it and removed most if not all of the original features and selling points.

Imagine you buy a brand new HDTV. Every now and then you get a knock on the door from me saying “Its time for your update” and I rip out a few buttons from your TV and remote rendering features useless.
This continues to go on until finally I come by with an old black and white set. “Time for your update”, Imagine your dissatisfaction as I walk out with your HDTV leaving you with the black and white TV set. “Hey that’s not what I bought” you say to yourself.

That’s what Sony did to me, to you and to every loyal customer they have.

@The Hackers. Do your worst for all I care ! SONY ASKED FOR IT.

P.S. Steve, Netflix was accessible during the outage. Sign in twice to get the fail message.
Sign in the third time and the fail message and sign in are bypassed and Netflix loads up.
You should have been a little more persistent. I bet you married the first girl who had sex with you.

Sony didn’t ask for it, they did everythimg they cold to stop it, hackers are retards and retards do stupid shit to look clever, jugglefist and danny manson, your comments are sensless, if some one terrorises companies and millions of people then the deserve to get bullied, and worse.

The should be arrested and thrown in jail. they wouldn’t know what to do. they are probaly the type of people who still live with thier mom, and get the crusts cut off there breads, and don’t have a job, car, girl freind, or any other friends, ’cause no one wants to be friends with a doosh.

  11. Danny Manson says:

    @ Kevin

“Sony didn’t ask for it, they did everything they cold to stop it”. Bull Smack, Kevin.

They did ask for it. They are still asking for it. The system was designed to run a second operating system. They took that away. It was designed to play PS2 games (Backwards compatible). They took that away. You were once able to choose if you wanted that annoying message board on or off. They took the off option away. I could spend all day listing all the features they’ve taken away. Features that once had me sold on the product that are all gone now… I only have one regret in life. Not being technologically advanced enough to have the ability of hacking a company that RIPPED ME OFF BIG TIME…..

I’ve been waiting for almost four years for this to happen. It dose put a big smile on my face.
I hope Sony gets hacked on a regular basis and goes out of business eventually.

Don’t be naive Kevin. Sony screwed you over too.

I’m not defending the hackers. I am defending the loyal customers like yourself.
Believe this.. If Sony could mandate a trade in program to remove all the older PS3′s they would.
It’s just not cost effective so, software updates are the best they can do.
Updates that continue to restrict you, me and all other LOYAL customers.

I bought a bar of gold. That gold has deteriorated into a lump of coal.
Are you so slow in the head that you don’t see what they are doing to the very people who keep their company profitable?

Kevin, I feel so sorry for you and Steve.

Having said that, I am glad their are ANNOMOUS hackers out their defending people like you and me.
Well, not you. You are obviously retarded and cannot see two inches in front of your face.

Don’t ever forget. The hackers are not attacking you. They are defending you.

Why don’t you just go buy an XBOX since you are already obviously blind as a bat..

    TO SONY, F.U.A.H’s

DOWN WITH SONY.. DOWN WITH SONY.. DOWN WITH SONY.. DOWN WITH SONY.. DOWN WITH SONY.. DOWN WITH SONY.. DOWN WITH SONY.. DOWN WITH SONY.. DOWN WITH SONY..

  12. Faye says:

    @danny

at one point in time the ps3 was ABLE to run two operating systems, but now its just a game system and Sony should leave it at that

  13. Faye says:

Dont get me wrong Linux was and is a awesome operating system, but as I get older and the kids just want video games, Ill leave it at that. maybe ten years ago i’d agree with the hackers to give us what WE want duh WE own the unit now not Sony. but with all this hacking its frustrating
