The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be arriving in Canada on June 30 to start their eleven day North American Royal tour. This will be the Royal couples first overseas trip as a married couple. Prince William and Princess Catherine will spend time in Canada’s capital, Ottawa, Ontario; touring several provinces before attending the 2011 Calgary Stampede and Rodeo in Calgary, Alberta. They will visit at least nine cities on their North American journey that of over 14,000 miles.
This will also be the first time Princess Catherine has been to North America. They will fly to Los Angeles to spend their last three days on an official visit to support Britain’s interests in America. Prince William and Princess Catherine will go directly to the Beverly Hilton Hotel to attend Variety Magazine’s Venture Capital and New Media Summit. The U.S. leg of the Royal Tour 2011 will be promoting charities that the Prince is patron of, including Tusk Trust.
Prince William will play in a charity polo match on Saturday, July 9 at the Santa Barbara Polo Club. Princess Catherine (formerly, Kate Middleton) will award the prize to the winning team of the polo match.
On July 9, Saturday evening, the Prince and Princess will attend a black tie dinner and reception hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. The Duke is actually President of Bafta. Prince William and Princess Catherine will fly home later on Sunday, July 10 from the Los Angeles International Airport as they conclude their 2011 North American Royal tour.
