Max Talbot: Signs 5 Year $9 Million Dollar Deal With Flyers

It was a bit of a surprise to find out that Max Talbot is leaving his current team and going with the Flyers. Friday the Flyers signed free-agent forward Maxime Talbot to a 5 year contract.

27-year-old Max Talbot is 5’11″, 190 pounds and plays center. Talbot had eight goals and 21 points in the last season for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

“I think it’s the right thing for me to do,” Talbot told TSN. “It’s the best team that I could go with.”

The 5 year deal that Talbot signed is worth $9 million! He also became the second former Penguin player to decide to play for the Flyers, in one day. Just one hour before Talbot agreed to go with the Flyers, Philadelphia announced a 1 year deal for free-agent forward Jaromir Jagr who is 39 and a former All-Star.

“I never thought I’d play for another team in my life. So, it’s been a rough couple of weeks for me.” said Max Talbot
