Golf fans world wide want to cheer for Tiger Woods. He has had his fair share of celebrity athlete troubles but the fact that so many people continue to follow him around the course is testament to the fact that Tiger is well liked. This morning at St. Andrews, Tiger had a great chance to get the wheels rolling again. The British Open 2010 has been more than just good to Tiger Woods, even mother nature gave him the best of the best early this morning.
The course at St. Andrews is known as the Home of Golf. The rain yesterday threatened to make the course a mess. Instead, the earlier the tee time today, the better the course played. Right now, though, the youngster Rory McIlroy has a 3 shot lead over Tiger Woods and a host of other professionals at the British Open 2010.
The course was good to some old favorites this morning like John Daly who showed up clad in his circus best. Hopefully those pants weren’t too distracting to the rest of the golfers. Lucas Glover was one of nine players to shoot a 67 in the opening round. Tiger Woods is one of those nine enjoying the British Open 2010 as St. Andrews appears to be welcoming the professionals with open arms.
