Gary Hecker, an intellectual property attorney for reality TV star Kim Kardashian filed Kim Kardashian’s lawsuit against Old Navy with the court. Kardashian expects to get some $20 million in compensation from suing Old Navy for using a look-alike in a print ad series the Gap Inc. affiliate company published in February of this year. The Old Navy ad features Melissa Molinaro, an actress-model who resembles Kardashian following a make-up session.
The Kim Kardashian lawsuit against Old Navy had been filed later than expected since the reality TV celebrity has remained silent immediately after the Melissa Molinaro Old Navy ad had been published. Very likely, she has been waiting for the right moment to file her ‘Kim Kardashian lawsuit against Old Navy’, and the moment has come after she announced her wedding will be in August, 2011.
“Kim Kardashian is immediately recognizable, and is known for her look and style. Her identity and persona are valuable. When her intellectual property rights are violated, she intends to enforce them,” Gary Hecker said in a statement. Later on, Kardashian revealed she has worked hard to support products she likes while the move by Old Navy has been not only unexpected but frustrating.
It is stated that Kardashian resembled Nicole Scherzinger during the early years of her career when she had yet a long way to go to become a reality TV star. Amazingly, she now complains somebody else is resembling her. Do you find it wrong or right that Kim Kardashian sues Old Navy?
