The 2011 Canadian Open is now in the books and the winner is American Sean O’Hair. Many lead changes were seen in this years tournament and after the 18 holes today two players were tied at -4. Sean O’Hair and fellow American Kris Blanks played a one hole playoff on the par four 18th. With the Canadian Open results complete golfers are now getting ready for next weekends tournament The Greenbriar Classic.
Yesterdays leader Bo Van Pelt ended the day in a tie for sixth after shooting a +4 on the day. Only 15 golfers shot under par today with Ernie Els having the lowest round. The Canadian Open results had one Canadian in the top ten. Adam Hadwin ended the day in a tie for fourth spot after shooting a +2 on the day. The relative unknown had his best finish in a PGA event at this tournament.
With his win today Sean O’Hair walked away with a cool $936,000. Kris Blanks still did quite well taking home just over $560,000 after losing the playoff hole. The other Canadian Open results show that the last place golfer today Nathan Green was awarded almost $10,000 for placing 76th.
