Tiger Woods Announces Return: Woods to Golf 2011 Bridgestone Invitational

Tiger Woods is ready for his return to the golfing world and we are all ready to watch this great athlete in action. The injuries to his left leg must be healed after his eleven week break. His first tournament for this year begins next week at the PGA Tour Bridgestone Invitational. He is excited to get back to work, or play, however you call it.

Tiger Woods Returns

The World Golf Championship Bridgestone Invitational is hosted at the Firestone Country Club, in Akron, Ohio, August 3-7. Woods posted on his Twitter account announcing his return to golf on Thursday. Woods, who last month fired his friend and long-time caddie, Steve Williams, will have a new caddie by his side, but who is that new caddie? Williams did not get permission from Woods to work for Adam Scott at three major tournaments.

Tiger Woods used to hold the title of the number one ranked golfer in the world. Now Tiger Woods is ranked at number 21, but when you are Tiger Woods and have such a great history in the golf world, with many major championships in the bag, number 21 is not where you want to be today. He also stands at number 133 in the FEDExCup standings. All eyes will be on Tiger Woods to see if he can make a major comeback in the game. You can watch Tiger Woods return to golf at the Bridgestone Invitational next week.
