Greenbrier Classic Leaderboard: Day 2 at the 2011 Greenbrier

Former Masters champion Trevor Immelman was the leader heading into day 2 at the 2011 Greenbrier, following a great start to the tournament for the South African. After the second day of action he moved down the Greenbrier Classic leaderboard after to third place after shooting a 70 on the day for a -6 over the first two rounds.

Day 2 at the 2011 Greenbrier saw the Greenbrier Classic leaderboard topped by Brendon de Jonge of Zimbabwe and Webb Simpson of the United States with a -7. Webb shot a 65 and 68 in the first two rounds, while de Jonge shot a 66 and 67 to give the two men a share of the the lead heading into the third round on Saturday.

Local fan favorite Phil Mickelson failed to impress scoring an even-par 70  on the first day and today he continued to struggle shooting a 73, and did not make the cut on the Greenbrier Classic leaderboard.

Other golf news today was the announcement by Tiger Woods that he will be returning to the PGA tour at next weekends Bridgestone Invitational. He has also formally entered his name into the PGA Championship which will take place from August 11-14.
