On the last episode of Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Gene Simmons proposed to Shannon Tweed. Tweed and Simmons have been an on-again-off-again couple for 28 years. This was the season finale of the ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels’ show and the proposal was quite romantic. Simmons knelt down on one knee after telling Tweed that she has been his best friend and the only person that understood him no matter what baggage he carries. The famous KISS singer also told his bride-to-be she was the only woman he ever loved. While he admitted it was a cheesy line over used in movies and TV it described his feelings honestly.
Fans of the show welcomed Gene’s proposal to Shannon Tweed and hope the engagement turns into a successful marriage. In a recent tweet, Simmons stated that he believes every day is a new chance to work on the relationship and make it better. Tweed, a former Playboy Playmate, is the mother of Simmons’ two children.
While it may seem like the proposal just happened, it has been kept a secret as it took place more than a month ago. While some might say the proposal was a publicity stunt by Gene Simmons to draw up more attention for the show, it is still unknown if Tweed said yes or no although the entire family was spotted at a recent B.C. Lions football game.
