Colt McCoy: He Can’t Run From Tim Tebow

After what is reported to be a gorgeous wedding ceremony, a reception for the former Texas Longhorn and his new bride turned into a roast of the athlete. Jordan Shipley from the Cincinnati Bengals took to the microphone but not for your average toast to the bride and groom. Shipley used the lyrics of a song “When I Grow Up, I Want To Be Just Like Colt McCoy” and brought Tim Tebow to the party.

Tim Tebow wasn’t physically at the wedding. However, once Jordan begins to sing and the guests start to enjoy the silly song lyrics, the video grows in intensity and the guests finally join in to sing along with Shipley. Shipley even makes it known that the groom is lucky to have a friend like himself. Shipley’s lyrics in the song that brought Tim Tebow to the Colt McCoy wedding mention Colt “rubbing elbows with Tim Tebow”.

The two are long time arch rivals and the song was definitely all in good fun. No one has managed to get a comment form Tebow about the lyrics but chances are, he enjoyed the charade as much as the guests who were on hand. At about the 1:55 mark of the video is where Tebow is mentioned if you are looking to hear it for yourself. Don’t skip the first part of the song and make sure to listen to all of it as the guests chime in “When I Grow Up, I Want to Be Just Like Colt McCoy.”
