The Miley Cyrus Tattoo photos have received a lot of comments and feedback, Miley Cyrus believes that her tats serve as a reminder of her existence, beliefs and sentiments. Good for you Miley! This is a basic civil rights issue, where a non-majority group is discriminated against by the majority. Religion doesn’t come into it. The Bible preaches a lot of things we don’t follow anymore. For example, it says it is a sin to eat lobster, trim your beard, eat rare meat, allow women to speak in church and so on. Perhaps these rules had relevence at the time they were written, but they are entirely irrelevant now. Rules like these show that the Bible was written in a particular socio-historical context – they are not timeless and they are not followed today. Nor should discrimination continue to occur against gay people (on the basis of religious teachings or otherwise).
