All eyes are on Tiger Woods after the legendary golf player is expected to top the Bridgestone Invitational leaderboard 2011 or score an impressive result to demonstrate he is back to win trophies, CNN reports. Woods did not manage to add a new trophy in his rich collection for a year and a half, and now he hopes to score well on Bridgestone Invitational leaderboard 2011.
The tournament in Akron, Ohio will be the first one Woods will play in nearly three months time, while he quite unexpectedly fired his long-time caddie, Steve Williams, a few weeks ago. He was number 26 in the world in the start of 2011 and dropped to 28th place at the moment. Therefore he will be eager to score high on Bridgestone Invitational leaderboard 2011.
Woods publicly stated he is coming to Ohio to grab the trophy and is 6 shots off the lead at 68 after the opening round of the Bridgestone Invitational. Many fellow professional golf players do believe that he is capable of improvement, following his many injuries, and absence from active play after he experienced a serious crisis in his personal life.
Both fans and critics of Woods have to admit that the player demonstrates desire to play and no sign of Tiger Woods giving up can be spotted.
