Colorado may be the last hiding place of the Dougherty gang who are armed and dangerous, police and FBI authorities told Associated Press on Wednesday. FBI’ Denver, Colorado, spokesman Dave Joly told the press that the three members of the Dougherty gang are armed and dangerous and were spotted in Colorado. The police have received “credible information” that the three alleged criminal facing criminal charges in Florida and Georgia are hiding or just running across Colorado, authorities said.
Ryan Edward Dougherty, 21, Dylan Dougherty Stanley, 26, and 29-year-old Lee Grace Dougherty were spotted close to Interstate 25 north of downtown Colorado Springs on Tuesday afternoon, Sgt. Steven Noblitt, form the Colorado Springs police, told media. According to him, the police are unable to confirm that these three persons have been seen at the place, but confirmed the Dougherty gang are armed and dangerous. The police believes the three are probably driving a small 2006 white Subaru Impreza with a stolen Texas license plate that reads LCS 909.
The three siblings are on the run since August 2 after they allegedly fired at least 20 shots at a police officer in Florida. Later in the same day, three persons with an AK-47 assault rifle and wearing masks robbed a bank in nearby Valdosta, Georgia.
The police believe that the three people on the bank cameras are the Dougherty gang who have now been spotted in Colorado and reported to be armed and dangerous.
